Girl Guides in Badlishah of Our Era



This was the Girl Guides of Sultan Badlishah School,1975 (Yeoh Liew Kee is seen here). Agnes Baden Powell would be proud of these girls in Kedah, Malaysia.

A Repot on the Hostel 1973 - 1974

I stayed in Padang Serai during this time of my school days and have always dreamt of staying in the hostel. In fact I have applied for a place but was rejected. I guess my house in Padang Serai was not far enough from school.

It was definitely an all boys affair that night.

Teachers of 1974

I think Mr. Neng Kee Tee was my Form Teacher for Form 3 but I am not sure. On paper he was tranferred at the end of 1973. He is actually my wife's uncle (brother to my late mother in law) what a coincidence.

Editorial Board & Prize Winners for 1973 - 1974

Tun Dr.M from dulu sudah bagi nasihat kepada kita….. and until today he still strong, healthy and ever giving nasihat….. salute sama dia!

I did not know Shazali was part of the Editorial Board. Ping Ling now stays in Kulim where Eu Jin in Singapore.

I am happy to see these 2 Chinese girls (Lai Bee Yong & Tan Sin Choi), they were from my hometown, Padang Serai. Yes! Padang Serai Boleh!!!!

School Magazines 1971 - 1976

I have created another blog especially for ex-students of Sultan Badlishah School of our era.

I will post as many contents of these mazagines here for the benefit of those who are interested.

So stay tuned and pray that I have the stamina to do it….
