Happy Malaysia Day 2015

It has been a long while since I last updated this blog and I was glad to be able to meet up old friends again from my class and also our seniors. This meeting was initiated by Datuk Mohammad Lan Allani with the assistance from Sahat andd Wan Iskandar. Though all of us are residing in Klang Valley except for Sahat from KK we do not seems to see each others at all, probably everyone has his own commitment and family to take care.
I remember Mat Lan as a prominent sport man where he ran, played hockey, tennis and many more in the school. It was timely that Sahat was in town to organise this dinner and it was nice to catch up with Allias, Captain Mahmood and Rashid again. We had a wonderful dinner and thank you Datuk for the treat. We shall meet again.

Teh Tarik with Tami @ Kelab Golf Titiwangsa PDRM

An extract of a 1975 photograph of Geography Society where we shared in facebook.
He has a lot of friends and relatives to meet and intend to meet all of them if it's possible.

A group photo @ KGT.
It was only teh tarik and I actually forget about food, probably I got carried away while going down the memory lanes. Sorry about that my friends.
The person in light blue tee shirt is Tami's cousin, Ali where he took care of Tami's accommodation and other logistics.
Abdul Rashid, nephew of our primary school Disciplinary Teacher, Mr. Ghafor. This chap has a lot of interesting stories to tell.
Faizul & Anuar sharing and going through old photos where many old memories were recollected.

Whenever Thinakaran is around we are assured of good photography and thank a million we really appreciate this. Thanks to Mohd Sabri & wife for coming to this gathering too.

Mohd Faizul drove all the way from Kuantan to meet an old friend and I had the opportunity to play golf with him before the Teh Tarik. Good to see you Faizul.

School Boys & Girls of 1975 Somewhere in Kulim, Kedah

This is another priceless photo as I carefully look at it and I can see familiar faces which I used to see during those years in Sultan Badlishah School. I see Tan Kim Eng from Padang Serai, late Rohizan (Badak) and for the girls I know Habibah who is now actively involving in the reconnecting of this old friendship. Now that most of us have gone our separate ways and lead our own destiny I wish everyone all the best in whatever things you are doing.

Volleyball Team of 1975

This was the team representing the school in 1975, I remember we managed to play a few matches in the inter school competition until the last match with one of the schools in Baling.
The main player of this team was none other than Ong Tiek Hwa, he was the main spiker and did most of the attacking role. He is now teaching in Badlishah School. Due to my height constraint, I was always in the setting position and making sure that I could feed the spikers accurately. Whenever, the team managed a good attack, we would yell "char siew". Diving for save, digging, overhand or underhand serving, blocking and dipping were parts of the fun in this game.

Back Row R-L : Ronald Koh Wah Heng & Yeoh Cheang Tiek ... the rest I cannot remember.
Front row : Sim Kong Aik, Sin Tai Lim, Teacher, Ong Tiek Hwa, Chew Eu Jin & Tan Teow Chow.

Mini Gathering to Meet an Old Pal - Wong Kok Choo

The chance to meet up Wong Kok Choo (seated on the right) at last has been materialized. I received a call on a Sunday morning while I was at a market doing my usual chore. I managed to gather a few more schoolmates for this special meeting. Thanks to Tan Kean Hooi, Ho Tick Choong and Yeoh Cheang Tiek for attending this mini gathering.

We were young and we were at Maxwell Hill, Taiping in 1974.

And this photo was taken at Penang Esplanade during a school excursion.

We talked and talked and were very happy to meet up again after 36 years since we left school.

Our family members were there too to share and compare notes of our lives. We shall meet again.
